Helicopter into Silverstone for MotoGP?
Discussion
Anyone know of a company running flights into Silverstone for the bike GP?
I emailed Silverstone who forward it onto helicopter companies, but in the space of almost 2 weeks I've had one reply; from a company in Goodwood who aren't doing shuttle runs but will pick me up from Blackbushe & fly all the way there at over £2K!
I'm looking to drive from Basingstoke to somewhere near to Silverstone then just get a little 5/10 min shuttle flight into the circuit itself for 4 adults and was thinking this would be about £4/500. So can anyone help?

If you are only looking for a shuttle then I assume its to avoid traffic, rather than for the experience. You might be surprised how well Silverstone can cope with this amount of people. Its half the amount they get for the F1 and lots of them are on bikes so the traffic wasn't actually that bad last year.
I agree Silverstone does seem to cope better than Brands or Donny for a sizeable crowd, however, we still spent a dusty hour winding our way through the woods just to get out of the car park last year & tbh I can't be arsed with that again (although my record is 2 hours of complete standstill at Brands WSBK a few years ago!).
I'll try Heliair although I would have thought that my email would have been forwarded onto them as first port of call as I sent it via the Silverstone website.
The other guy I spoke to did say that they weren't running a shuttle service as they do for the F1 as there's not enough demand on MotoGP day so my hopes aren't high.

HeliAir have a base at High Wycombe, and then Silverstone (amongst others) - its about a 30 minute transfer between the 2. Robinson R44 (which would take only 3 passengers) is approx £400 an hour...... the EC120 (4 passengers) is nearer £600 per hour.....
But, they shoould be able to transit you between the 2.
