An impromptu Alfa return to the banks of Monza, c 2002

Ive just had a brief chat with a Finnish work colleague who also happens to be an Alfa nut. In common with most of his countrymen he has a little screw loose which means he can get away with stuff like this. Id love to put the pics up, but not really my right to do that. I shall repeat the information though:

During one of my trips to Italy i managed to sneak in the backway onto the closed part of the old Monza track and give it a go. The banking is rather steep…"
DJC: "How "unofficial" was that? Did nobody try and stop you?"

"Wery, and nobody tried to stop me….
Long story, but somebody remotly opened one of the back gates, when i was standing around lookin in on the area. Took me 0.5s of thinking to jump into the car an gun it throug the gates while they where still open. Then i had to do a little bit of off road driving throug some sort of park, before i found myself in the f1 paddocks :-).
Nobody around, so i was going back and forth around the area before finding the old track. Som previous conciderate person had removed a piece of the iron-barrier blocking the entrance, so i just drove in and had a go.
Then i just left quickly and quietly before any complaining Carabinieri arrives :-))"
Cue him blasting along the old banking in his Alfetta.
