Jerez - F1 Testing 10th - 13th Feb

Guys,

Does anyone know who's testing when at Jerez?

I understand each team only runs one driver a day... and have manged to find McLaren's schedule, but what about the other teams?

I am going on Thursday assuming that No1 drivers will be there, without the weekend crowds.

So I am assuming it will be Ferando, Lewis, Shuey, Vettel etc.

Sadly it is just a theory, but it has been reasonably good in previous years.

I should be heading up with a couple of mates on Friday to see JB's first run in the new Macca and then also popping back on Saturday with Paddock Passes courtesy of Toro Rosso. What a nice bunch. ;-)

Just read this on the autosport live test thing, quite interesting. I too hope they have a nice car this year would make it interesting.

"I have serious concerns about where Mercedes is at the moment, although I must add the caveat that drawing conclusions based on the first test is very dangerous. Ignoring the laptimes, I'm hearing that those inside the team are not delighted with the way the car is performing. If that is the case, Mercedes could be looking at a similar year to 2010.

Going back to laptimes, you have to be very careful judging teams based on that in testing. Fuel makes a huge difference (three-tenths of a second per 10kg at Valencia) and teams will be concentrating on their development programmes. This idea that teams are sandbagging early in testing is misleading for the simple reason that no one is chasing headline times. Context is everything."
