Alguersuari and Buemi

Is it likely to be these guys' last season in F1?

I'm not sure that they're pay drivers, given that they drive for Toro Rosso, and I'd be very surprised if either would be considered good enough to step up to RBR next season (or any other top-flight team), even with another season under their belts.

Plus there are a growing number of worthy contenders to take their seats - wouldn't Toro Rosso be better off with some fresh talent to better continue with their "RBR Academy" role?

Or am I totally wrong about this?

I can see them both moving to better teams in the future. Buemi scored more points in 2010 but I think Alguersuari is faster. But why would the team change the drivers if they don't have to? They have experience with the team, they get points on occasion, and don't destroy a lot of cars. Good drivers.

Why do they want fresh talent? Fresh talent (with some exceptions) show their inexperience by making mistakes.

I dont think Alguersuari has too much to be worried about, He's young, he's fast.... 6th fastest today.

ETA: I missed the fact he was about a second slower than Daniel Ricciardo in the same car.

It seems that both are signed for the first half of this season, its believed that one could be dropped to put Ricciardo in the car. His fans believe that he'd then be shifted to RBR in 2012 to replace a retiring Webber.

I think Jaime took a while to settle in, but the second half of last season he eclipsed Buemi, who apparently was arguing with various people the team at a couple of GPs. He is also a dance music DJ.

He's not even 21 yet. Git.

I wasn't expecting Buemi to make this season. As he seems to have a drive initially I guess one of them will be gone for the 2nd half of the year. Ricciardo seems to be a genuine talent, where I'm not sure either of the incumbent drivers are going anywhere.

I rate Algersuari. impossible to spell, but had some great drives last year. Not so keen on Buemi, I'd not be surprised to see him step aside for the bloke from this morning.

You never know what the testing regeime is though - which tyres were on, weight, etc etc.

Agree with the above; algae did some excellent drives last year, watching him toy with the new teams and not being dominated by the 'experienced drivers'.

He is the youngest driver (ever) in F1.
Plus, he does have car control: Algae drifts the Roso at Bahrain last year Apologies for the commentary!
