Some years ago I saw this crash presented on TV and it came available Youtube. Nagaya survived and is racing karts again....

That is truely amazing! Well done that man. To survive an accident like that and still get back into racing shows a great will!

Truly awful crash, and fantastic that he managed to race again. Good for him.

Just read about it and this is actually a "Formula Dream" support race for the 2002 Japanese GP at Suzuka. As far as I can tell Formula Dream is a sub F3 class, something like Formula Renault. Imagine a similar accident at F1 speeds?!

Total respect to the guy - that is truly inspirational to watch him in that kart. Just as good as it was seeing Alex Zanardi complete the 'missing' 13 laps in his indy car.
