They've changed the way they choose them. Instead of "Classic" versions of the GP at the Venue they are getting A driver to choose them. Vettel has chosen this time and I think it's killed it. Nothing before 2008 and they are all "His" memories.

Pretty poor idea using current drivers, however i think the idea would have some legs using retired drivers. Lets hear Stirling Moss's classic choices, i'd like to hear from brundle/herbert/Stewart etc. Making sure to pick driver from various eras.
Using current drivers will just result in races from the last ten years, and the more modern races that are still in memory are the ones that i least enjoy waching.

Also if you go to the bottom under 'archives' you have all the long highlight packages from the 2009 season (you have to search for them), i watch them in my lunch hour at work on quiet days, think i've watched monaco 09 and turkey 09, 10 times! very useful feature from the bbc and in my mind not promoted enough

Pointless asking Vettell anything the history of F1 as i doubt that he will either know anything the history or whether he will even give a toss.
He isnt, & never will be, a racer in any way shape or form. Sadly we dont have the likes of Hunt, Villeneuve (Gilles obviously), Prost, Senna, Mansell, Jones, Rosberg (Keke) et al anymore.
We have corporate robots now which isnt any good whatsoever.

If it's so bad why take an interest?
I think you are far too harsh on Vettel. If he doesn't have knowledge of motor racing history that is not unusual. People like Jenson Button and David Coulthard were in a similar position when they were younger. Now they are quite enthusiastic about historic matters. I'm sure Vettel will develop a sense of history over time. Many of them do.

Which makes choosing him as the "first" to choose pointless and damaging to the concept.Anyone think maybe Vettel was asked the question in such a way that it could have been interpreted by him as meaning "what were your favourite races?"?
