Buying a helmet in London

My current lid is out of date, and I need to replace it. In the past, I bought stuff like that from Grand Prix Racewear in Chiswick, but they've closed down now. My current helmet has no size markings on it, so I'd like to find somewhere I can try a replacement on in person, which tends to rule out the mail order route.

Is there anywhere in or around London where I can do this?

Any motorbike shop should be able to help.
Try Metropolis in Vauxhall.

Bike helmets generally don't have a Snell SA2005 or similar rating and thus can't be used for motorsports.

I have to say, I took measurements of my head and ordered it from V2 Sport.

Fantastic helmet - not overly heavy - comfortable - not itchy padding etc.

(touch wood) never had to use it (i.e. putting it between my head and something hard).

I was bothered about this when I bought mine, but that would be the route I would go down - I did!!
