If it ever actually races I'd put money on it being fairly kind on the tyres a la Sauber.

To be fair there were comments in an article I read (I think from James Allen but might have been Autosport) that said some F1 engineers outside the team thought the HRT would be quicker than Virgin once they got their 2011 wing on the car, but Lotus seem a good 1.5-2s ahead of Virgin so there's not much hope of closing that too quickly.

Regarding the criticism though, I think Mr Carabante needs to realise HRT didnt really get stick from the press because they were slow, it was because they came to the first race of the season which was 2 weeks later than planned (so should have meant the team had lots of time to be prepared and ready), and yet they were still building the cars through free practice. Virgin tested and had cars prepped for the first race, HRT didnt, they just make themselves look amateurish and untruthful doing things like that, given the cars weren't ready for the first race are we really expected to believe that the only reason they didnt run in the final test at Barcelona 2 weeks before was because of a few suspension parts being held in customs?! laugh

The sad part of it is that they say they were only beaten by Lotus because of an accident. Maybe if Webber hadn't tried to fly over a Lotus they would have got more points, as is often pointed out F1 is if backwards. If HRT.......
