F1 Ticket Prices

My brother just bought a seated ticket (with shade and cover) for tomorrows Malasyian GP, £24 !
Amazingly cheap compared to European GPs.

I managed to get Two tickets to Monza, including hotels for £199.

I don't think that's too bad, going to make a rather long weekend of it and drive over!

... and Silverstone "from £131.74" for a Sunday ticket which I assume will just be the basic access to the viewing area - no grandstand seat. I know where i'll be watching the British GP from.

supply and demand. there will be loads of tickets available for tomorrows race, sure the grandstands might be full on the main straights but i'll bet the rest of the circuit and the GA are not full. comapre that to silverstone where the place will be rammed for three days straight...

Yeah, I guess you're right. I very rarely meet other motor racing fans at work and in life in general, makes me wonder where they all come from on British GP day! I must mix with the wrong type of people

Rip off Britain again. But like someone else has said supply and demand. There are a lot of Countries where people will not go to a grand prix so they sell lots of tickets cheap so they fill the grandstands. For me to go to Silverstone all in it usually costs around £500. Unfortunately i'm watching it at home this year

I'm off out to the German GP, my first ever F1 spectator event as well.

All three days, granted standing mind you, £81. Its about 3 times that for silverstone.

I'm certainly not condoning the prices over here in blighty; it definitiely is a mix of 'Rip off Britain' and 'Supply and demand' but when put into perspective there are things that are dearer.

I had to put it into perspective a few years ago to be able to go:

Theater tickets or concert tickets can cost anything from £25 to £100 and that's just for 2 to 3 hours. I paid £300 for my Silvo tickets this year and get about 7 or 8 hours a day of racing. So let's say 20 hours worth of racing for £300.

I managed to get the tickets so there's something in this 'flawed' perspective

Plus, I pay it coz I love going!!

8 of us are going to Monza this year. Camping Thurs, Fri, Sat night + flights + car hire + grandstand ticket for 3 days - £375 each

hungary, great country and the views from the general admission are brilliant. cheap to get there if you book the flights early but sharing a campsite with germans is not for the faint hearted....

That's what I thought. I absolutely not going out to the 'ring again this year, and this turned up and turned everything on its head.

I actually like the few Germans I have met. They could do with little more of a sense of humour but other than that there not a bad crowd. Beers good too.

SO OP how did your brither get on I assume from the price he was in C3, not a bad view, and good value for money, and as no rain he did not get 'crushed' when every one tried to get under the cover, but there can be some serious insects in the grass, as I know from ecperience.

I've been to the British GP many times over the years and watched the prices rise - I don't mind paying it as there's so much to keep you entertained even when the racing isn't on! I've managed to persuade the mrs it counts as a "holiday" so she's happy too - bonus!

Can I ask all where they source their tickets? I had a look on the F! site, and things seems as expensive , say in Hungary , as they are here. Which surprised me...to be honest.

So can it make a lot of difference where you buy your tickets?

In contrast Spa 1000km ILMC and LMS entry (incl grandstands) and pits in total around E30 with 60 cars... in previous years there were fantastic classic racing as well no contest



I live 20 miles from Silverstone and have stopped going to the GP ages ago....

Le mans 24 hours... around E70 for the week....

I have been to Hungary twice and to get the really cheap prices you had to be a membeer of their F1 club which was open to local residents only... prices were cheaper than Silverstone but not that much..

At Sepang a grand stand ticket on the pit lane for the F1 is say 200 pound for a good one, (Paid 190 last week), the same ticket for the Moto GP is 12 pound.
The rip of is the FI circus not the curcuit. I
'm told that the F1 organisation want 8,000 US$ a day from a retailer if he want to set up a stall, which is why there are no stalls at Sepang, a few years ago there were local retail stalls at the F and K stands now there are only the big guys in the mall area between the start and back straight
