Hi Perry can't help you on Mantis times, but the last time DTEC did CC was 2009 when Danny W and Marc Hockin were doing 1.08.8 and Sam Head (now Jamie Golby's car) and Hugh Marshall were doing 1.11 and 1.12 respectively in Race 1 (all in Tuscans). Race 2 was red flagged due to the major crash with Owen O'Neill t-boning Ben Wright's car as a result of of dumped oil on the track.
I plan to be a spectator on Ester Mon as it's my local circuit and I want to recce with a view to later V8 races at CC. Met up with Dan Birch recently who might come to watch also.
Regards
Richard

Not sure on Marcos times but Doug elwood brought his to mallory last year. I kept him honest in my car and was looking for a way past when I popped a core plug. Deno got past him. So you should be in with a good shout

Have fun G

Richard i was hoping you wouldn't remember those times as they make my best round combe of 1.14.4 look piss poor.It should make for a good day as plenty other stuff going on as well.have a look on the castle combe site or the Marcos racing site for more info.I think Danny is coming along he said he had seen you, will be seeing him on thurs so will ask him then.G not been to mallory with car but i will take your word for it although you & Deano are much more talented than i vomitbiggrin

our best was a 1.10.58 last year
http://www.tsl-timing.com/ccrc/2010/102468.pdf

as a benchmark I did a 1.13.2 in the first race in the tuscan.

i was 4 secs off Danny and 3 off Marc in the Tuscan so expect a well pedalled Class3 Marcos to do about a 1.08/1.09

The green Marcos ( class2) was doing 1.07s

a standard ford engined Marcos may well be just a small bit slower than the orange Marcos I drive so is probably on a par with a Tuscan
