McLaren may consider selling shares through an initial public offering in about 2015, Executive Chairman Ron Dennis said in an interview at the sidelines of today’s event.

Fatal error if it does. Too much public scrutiny of a business that in essence thrives on secrecy.

I guess you mean the F1 team. I think they mean the road car side.

I would expect that the road car side could well be floated but the F1 team will be kept nice and private.

That, over time, the Road car side might aquire spin off companies specialising in 3-4 yearold F1 tec that has road car is another consideration.

Until foreigners take over both companies and start arguing about who has the right to use the name in F1 ?
