I have been using this lovely route for a while. It avoids the boring A/M roads south, has little traffic, passes through some beautiful Kentish and Sussex countryside, and is dotted with pleasant pubs.

Cross the river using the Blackwall Tunnel and head out on the A2.
Join the M25 southbound, until it forks to join the A21 towards Sevenoaks.
Exit on the A26 for Tunbridge Wells and after a short distance turn right onto the B2176 for Penshurst
After Penshurst, follow the B2188 through Fordcombe.
Turn left at a T junction onto the A246 and then right at the next T onto the B2110.
After Groombridge fork left for the B2188.
Follow this for a while until you turn left at a T junction for the B2026.
At the next T junction turn right and join the A22 at a roundabout, bearing left.
Follow the A22 to Halland, turn right onto the B2192.
Drive through Ringmer and turn left for Glyndebourne.

Time - approx two hours.
