Does anyone know building work is going on on the clockwise carrigeway between J9 and J10. The last few times i've driven past there they have been widening and stabilising the embankments, but they've made it very wide there as well. Is it a new entry slip road?

The real fun will start when they build a temporary 4 lane diversion of the M25 to allow construction of a cut and cover tunnel under the motorway to allow access from both carriageways. rolleyes

This is what I was thnking when I saw the plan. I've been travelling that part of the M25 regularly for the last decade and it's already the point at which most mornings the queues start for J10 clockwise. It's going to be a rubbish few months.

Current programme is for the diversion to be in place for 7 months. I'm not sure if it'll have that much effect as the traffic's usually pretty slow there anyway.
