Italy and back in a fortnight- route advice?
Discussion
Hi, first proper tour in the Tuscan but could do with advice on what routes to use. Ideally I'd like to avoid autoruotes where possible and given the timescales would aim for 250 ish miles a day. Will be departing from Kent through the tunnel, and 1st must see is the old circuit at Reims. From there it's open, just want an Alp route into Italy ending up in Florence for a couple of days (was going to head for Naples but will make the trip a bit rushed). Return would be Italian/ French riviera to Nice/Cannes then ideally part of route Napoleon but heading off west to Ales/Millau. Final few legs are to the Loire Valley and onto St Malo/ Caen for return ferry.
Any advice or good experiences much appreciated.
Cheers.

From Reims I would head to Mulhouse via Bar Le Duc D996 D996 D166 to Epinal classic fast french roads in open country..
Then open the Alpine Passes map http://goo.gl/maps/gPQp
And pick the passes you want .. and head to the hills
