Fri 8th july i have to go from derby to newquay on a stag weekend, my sat nav takes me down the a38 and onto the m6 toll then onto the m5 down to newquay will this be easyier/quicker than getting onto the m42 keeping on that untill joining m5????

Two advantages to M42 M5 route rather than Toll Road M6 M5 Route
Firstly its quicker and easier and probably lighter traffic and less stress.
The M6 is NEVER fun.
And it will be significantly cheaper toll road is £4 to £5 depending on time of day etc.
Program satnav to avoid tolls it should find M42 M% route.
Much better from Derby I frequently do this trip via Lichfield to Exmouth.
