M25 Heathrow junction, night-time roadworks

They're doing night-time roadworks and closing the 4 odd lanes down to 1. It's causing havoc when I drive home at night.

Anyone know what's going on? I can't find anything about it online anywhere!

I asked myself the same thing when I got stuck in it last week, luckily I was on the bike so wasnt too bad but still a pain in the arse after a late finish! I checked online too and couldn't see anything!
