Alps advice needed
Discussion
I'm busy planning my holiday in September and route we are going to take. Just wanted to get some advice on whether anyone thinks the following sounds do-able in one day?
The route should take me past the following places....
Start in Innsbruck then Stelvio Pass, Bormio, Livigno, Fluela Pass, Davos, St Moritz, San Bernadino Pass, Gotthard Pass and finishing in Andermatt. I think the route is about 320 miles, I'm guessing it will be hard work but I would have thought it should work?
Any thoughts?

A very very long day's driving. Not so much a holiday, more an endurance. The route should take me past the following places....

Even if you average 50 mph (you can't trust me), that's over 6 hours
in the chair. At 40 mph average, that's eight hours.
I usually limit my driving in the Alps to about 100 miles a day.
Suggest you find somewhere about half way around for an overnighter.
Thanks guys, I'm still undecided. A couple of years back, I drove from southern Lake Garda to Lindau, via the Stelvio (drove over and then back again to Bormio), then on over the Fluela Pass to Davos and on to Lindau, and did all that without using motorways. Took about 10 hours,I was planning on heading off early from Innsbruck, like about 7am. So even if it takes 10 hours, I'll still be there for 5pm. Hmmmm, tricky one!
