Why??
I'm sure it would have been quicker to drive into the middle of Leicester and then back out again.
Large sections have accommodation roads both sides, some are even dual carriageway as well, but still 30 limit. On top of that there are user-hostile traffic light timings.
Leicester do like to spout crap about being britains first environment city. Making everyone drive unnecessarily slowly and stop frequently doesn't help this by any measure.
