I put in a bid for a vignette at a fiver thinking if I got it for that plus a quid for postage - well done. Anyway I was outbid so I bought one from the Swiss travel centre for £29 plus £3.50 booking fee.

But then I checked the completed purchases on E-bay and found that 8 buyers in May had paid between £26 and £29 for used ones. readit

What is it about people that go to auctions? Do they think that just because it's an auction, it must be cheap? banghead

Checking my credit card, it cost me just under 28 quid at the Swiss border post just over a week ago. If you hadn't bought one already, I would have sold you mine!

Got my vignette by return post for £32.50 including some kind of add-on. I see on E-bay they're still fetching between £22 and £29 so with a bit of luck I should have had a cheap pass when I get back in July. thumbup

- although it does state somewhere that they're not transferable; not that anyone's going to know.

Got to check with the OH, we might be back to Italy in July, so might need it again. I guess you could borrow it for beer tokens...

If you don't stick it on your windscreen then it is not 'vehicle specific' wink

Ah, now you say that, I think that's the rub - you are "supposed" to stick it to the screen otherwise it's not valid, iirc. I just tucked mine in above the tax disc, but forgot to sell it on when I got back!
