Swiss vignette and E-bay
Discussion
I put in a bid for a vignette at a fiver thinking if I got it for that plus a quid for postage - well done. Anyway I was outbid so I bought one from the Swiss travel centre for £29 plus £3.50 booking fee.
But then I checked the completed purchases on E-bay and found that 8 buyers in May had paid between £26 and £29 for used ones.
What is it about people that go to auctions? Do they think that just because it's an auction, it must be cheap?

how much are you looking for it? its not vehicle specific is it?
Got to check with the OH, we might be back to Italy in July, so might need it again. I guess you could borrow it for beer tokens...how much are you looking for it? its not vehicle specific is it?
If you don't stick it on your windscreen then it is not 'vehicle specific'

Ah, now you say that, I think that's the rub - you are "supposed" to stick it to the screen otherwise it's not valid, iirc. I just tucked mine in above the tax disc, but forgot to sell it on when I got back!
