So decided to get away for a few days, and after going to North Wales last year in the 5 and having a great time driving round the Evo Triangle and Llanberis Pass and other roads, I thought i'd try the South of Wales to see what the roads were like there

Started my weekend with a drive over the Rhigos Mountain road -

Stopped at the top to check out the great views and have an ice cream smile

Later in the evening, around 8pm, went over to the Black Mountain Pass and was hardly anyone there so had the road to myself and didnt get held up by any other drivers.

Had a great blast down the road and then reached Llangadog and turned around and drove it all again going up the hill stopping to take a few photos this time.

The obligatory hairpin shots lol

Decided to drive to Elan Valley as well and had a great day driving round, the mountain roads were awesome and some stunning scenery too.

Not sure what the road was, think it was the A470, but was great and went nearly all the way to the Elan Valley.

A few from the Valley and the mountain roads

Had an awesome 3 days and was over way too quickly, cant wait to go back soon biggrin

good choice! that's the B4520 which runs from Brecon to Builth Wells. you probably rejoined the A470 in Builth which then took you to Elan/Rhaeadr.

So, from the photos I've figured your route to be something like this??

I live in Bristol so a feasible day out

Thanks smile

Not loads of mods just fitted coilovers, filter, exhaust and de-cat and other major mod is the roll bar which improves it a lot.

Lots of small bits done also, build thread here with everything ive done to it http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&amp...
