I have planned our upcoming SoF/Alps French road trip (in July) using the following routes. If any of you folks has any experiences you want to share on this I'd be greatly obliged thumbup

Chunnel to Beaune via Reims

Beaune to Castellane
A6-E21-E15 to Lyon
A43-E70 to A48-E711 Grenoble
A480-A51-E712 to E712 to N85 to D4085 (Route Napoleon)

Castellane to Briancon (via Col de la Bonnette)

D30 – Beuil to St Sauveur sur Tinne
D2205-D64 – St S sur T to Jausiers [via Col de la Bonette]

Gerardmer via Bethune to the Chunnel

We are staying more than 1 night in these places but the route from Annecy to Gerardmer is the quickest due to time restrictions.

Any insight would be greatfully received smile

I've done the first half of your route several times upto Annecy, it's good route. Just check before you travel the Col's are open

Done that area a few times, great roads,scenery,food, you will love it.
Damn I need to go again soon.
