South of Inverness?
Discussion
Hi guys
Im doing my second trip of the applecross loop this year then up to ullapool
Its just that the way home gets a little boring. Im going to Aberdeen so i would normally go ullapool-inverness-aberdeen
I dont want to drive the aviemore way as thats the road we take on the way out there
Any suggestions for a better road than the A9 going south?
Thanks in advance

Awesome roads.
Just to add that, unless you have a specific reason for wanting to visit Nairn, I would use this route from the Raigmore roundabout on the A9.
B865
B9006 via Cuulloden Moor to Croy
B9091 to Clephanton
B9090 via Cawdor then
B9101 to the A939

Much more fun than the A96.

Does the Aviemore way mean going up over the Lecht?
No. Aviemore is just off the A9. The Lecht is on the route mentioned by Longers.A939 south of Tomintoul - https://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=57.19232,-3.239937&a...
