Best time to cross at Dartford on Fri Eve?

I'm travelling northbound over the Dartford crossing (from A2) on Friday evening to try to avoid the Olympic traffic on A12. I just wondered what time Friday rush hour is over around there as I'd like to avoid traffic if possible.

Friday rush at the tolls can start late morning and go on till 7pm or later on a

REALLY bad day.

It can also clear surprisingly quickly.

Keep an eye on a traffic site if you can to see it clearing........hopefully

Thanks. We were planning to set off from SE London around 20:00 so I guess arrive at Dartford around 20:30? Will it still be bad then?

Lakeside is a designated park and ride location for the Games. So is Ebbsfleet just off the A2 from where the Javelin train will get you to Stratford International in 11 minutes.
