Good driving roads in south/west wales
Discussion
Im planing a run with a few mates and wanted to use a different route have done most of the east wales roads and breacon area so fancied a change. Wanting to vist some of the roads around west wales heared the elan valley has some good roads.
So anybody got any good routes i would be looking at starting off at carfthya castle then going up to builth wells using the b419 then across would be an ideal route.
Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Chris
Getting mixed messages here [partly due to a degree of pedantry on my part]
West Wales but you want to include the Elan valley? which is very much mid Wales
Builth - Garth - Beulah - RIGHT for Newbridge on Wye - in NoW go Left on to A470 >> Rhayader -
left in Rhayader >> Elan valley -
Go thru the dams - then left on to Mountain Road from Elan valley naturally progress in to Ystwyth valley passing the lead mines >> Pontarfynach(Devil's Bridge)
you could carry on to Aberystwyth - that in itself is a nice run across the top or,
in Devil's Bridge, left for Tregaron
Depending upon the tme you have work your way from Tregaron >> Llyn Brianne >> Llandovery
Just a few ideas for now anyway
