London Germany London over weekend

I fancy taking my T350 to Germany over the weekend leaving friday evening and getting back Sunday evening.

(All I want to do is to drive on one of the derestricted mortorways v. early on Sunday morning.)

Is this possible and has anyone here tried it?

Oh and route suggestions appreciated.

Serious, what should be impossible on that? I've made some weekend trips from Frankfurt to London or SE in the past (3...5 days each), and nothing seemed stressful - despite me always choosing to drive with a 50mph 1960 Landrover

bit late for the Bank Holiday, but take the direct route via Brussels and Aachen if you just have a short time, then wait until you are on the A3 after Koeln for some fantastic stretches (when not busy).

Paeffgen is the only address you need in Koeln.

"Stau" and "stockendes Verkehr" the two things you don't want to hear on the traffic reports.
