Anyone know why they do this?

Was only out for a drive so not too fussed I could not get through, but the road was clear and dry apart from 2 man made snow banks. I had come up from Holme and a landy had come from other side, we both had to turn back.

Just seems strange they blocked a clear road with snow, as you can see the guys on push bikes just climbed over.

Derbyshire wont open their side due to the risk of a land slip caused by the amount of snow on the hills above the road. The snow mounds are there for the exact reason you, the roadies and the Landy have demonstrated, people ignore the road closed signs and barriers!

Fair do's, road closed sign was duly ignored on my part but I think the land slide risk might be a little over estimated. wink

Anyone on here own a bowler wildcat? should just drive right over! lol.
