What would be a good circular route for a day of hooning (c.5-6 hours) from High Wycombe with a stop off for lunch somewhere as well?

Get as far as Cheltenham on the A40 then heard north on the B4630 (Its the old A46 Bath to Grimbsy road) all the way to Stratford. Some lovely scenery, bends and villages. Its about 30 miles. Then head from Stratford along the B4086 heading East to Kineton ....... very quick road and no traffic this connects up with the old A41 (Old London to Holyhead road) into Banbury/ another 30 miles

A40 beyond Oxford can be tedious because it's so busy. Do the A436 Andoversford-Bourton-on-the=Water and the A435 Cheltenham-Cirencester.

Eh? Get past Witney and as far West as Cheltenham and I'm quite often gobsmacked it hasn't been downgraded to a B road. Id agree the Cheltenham to Cirencester was and is a great road (especially for a biker) ... unfortunate about the 50 speed limits these days though. :-(
