Calais to La Rochelle
Discussion
Hi m8
I use mostly former national routes in france as wide loads are not allowed on most motorways, from calais you are better off heading down to rouen ,this can be achieved not using the auto route just look at any good map and you will see the old road (before the auto route was constructed) running parallel to the auto route and in most cases criss-crossing it,most approaches to any toll road will give you the par RN (route national) option, you will find a lot of options to get you down to rouen ,the great thing about france is the so called side roads are truly great with the only problem being me in your way!!!,just to add from the 1st july all wide loads no matter how large or small are prohibited from using most motorways,go enjoy.
