Scenic routes around Montreal

Was wondeing if anyone has been to Montreal and knows any scenic routes to take a nice drive on.

Spoke to a mate who lives there. His view was that you're not really spoiled for choice. Best places to head for are Magog, Hudson or Beloeil, basically avoid the highways. Sorry I can't be more helpful!!
