Every day i drive down my street which crosses another street.at the crossroad junction there are no road markings. Since i have lived there everyone who drives down our street goes straight over without looking. the other day i crossed said junction as normal and so did another car coming across me. Who's got right of way? what would happened if we had a knock? who would be at fault? Do the council have any responsibility?
Any ideas?

No-one has the right of way at an unmarked crossroads.

You should slow or stop and make sure the way is clear before crossing the junction.

I think it states somewhere in the highway code that you should give way to vehicles coming from your right - just as on a roundabout.

First to get there has right of way........seems to work for the Americans at stop signs.
