Folkestone to Stratford, E15

Monday mid morning I have to drive from Folkestone to Stratford and be at work for 1pm.
Straightest route lookes like the M20/A20, Blackwall tunnel etc but isn't a lot of the A20 still busy single carriageway with loads of traffic lights and junctions?
Would I be better off taking the M20 and turn north at the M25 then onto the A2?
Any help appreciated, ta.
