Pick up / Drop off at Wembley Arena

So, I bought my mum two tickets to see the 'Strictly come dancing live show' at Wembley arena for christmas. Thankfully she didn't offer the second to me but is instead taking a friend of hers. I want to make the whole thing safe and stress free so I plan to drive to the Arena, drop them off as near as possible, amuse myself in the surrounding area for a couple of hours, and then return to the drop-off point to pick them up. Could anybody advise where I can pick up / drop off in the area for free without being forced into a car park etc?
