Cambered switchback twisty bit near M11/Blackwall tunnel

The missus and I drove into Greenwich on Friday to visit her sister. First time I've driven in this way.
There was a short strech of road, I think somewhere between the M11 and the surface roads, that was a cambered switchback type of road. Can I figure out where it was? Can I hell! Can anyone identify it for me?
It was a tight 'bow', good surface, with a decent camber an additional sweep at each end.

Presumably you turned right from the m11/a406 onto the a12 at the Redbridge roundabout and followed the a12 to the blackwall tunnel? In which case there are a few twisty bits on the dual carriageway a12 but not exactly a fun road... Could you be thinking of one of the tunnels, perhaps the one at hackney?
I'm not sure to be honest. I went the wrong way at some point, I'm fairly certain about that.
We were travelling from the Midlands, the general route was M1, M25, M11, then surface roads/Blackwall tunnel, ending up in Greenwich.
All I'm trying to identify is a short strech very near the end, where there was a two-lane mildly banked bit of road that described a kind of half bow tie shape. (It was very tight. Would have been quite good fun, but we were in my OH's Yaris in the pissing rain)
I've scoured Google maps but can't find it. I'm sure I didn't imagine it!

I'm with, nice cup of tea. Once you turned right at redbridge roundabout, the road throws all sorts of interesting stuff at you 
Could also have maybe been as the m11 ends, it drops from 3 lanes, too 2. There is a short section from this point, up untill you reach the split to decide which way you want to go on the a406 that is abit like as you are describing.
reading again, the way you describe the banking, and half bow tie, I'm 90% certain it is the split at the end of the m11, for the a406 north circular.

My guess is you are either talking about the A12 GreenMan underpass or the tight bends on A12 at Hackney Wick on the approach to Blackwall tunnel?

Agreed. Although I'm slightly puzzled about the mention of going the wrong way.This is on the direct route from the M11 to the tunnel and the description appears spot on.
