The camera in the 50 mph section belongs to PEEK traffic management in Kings Worthy and is only used for test and evaluation purposes. To my knowledge its where the first infra-red camera was tested.

I work a couple of hundred metres from this camera and have wondered whether it is a speed camera or not for the following reasons:
1) The lines on the road are only marked in one lane of a dual carriageway.
2) Never seen it flash.
3) Saw someone from Hampshire CC commenting on new speed cameras to be introuduced they said there were currently no fixed speed cameras in Hampshire only on traffic lights.

Well I thought it was interesting, I will get my anorak and leave know

A33 is a great fun road. I once heard of somebody who managed over 170 down there, 3 up in a Cerbera. Starmist Blue with a Magnolia interior it was. Very stylish.
