I'm planning a run around Wales soon and I need a place for people to meet up and have a bit of a bacon sarnie and coffee before we get out on to the roads.

Can anyone suggest anywhere? Needs to be open earlyish on a Saturday.

Thanks

Dinkys Dinah or Montford Bridge Cafe would be your best bets

Montford bridge cafe will be good as it is easy to find, on A5 and has plenty of parking. never been in there for a bacon sarnie so can't comment on food

Another Dinky's here. Used to live in Bicton, family still do. Montford Bridge Cafe is ok but Dinky's is the way forward. Regularly take a pilgrimage back there.

Bit further north, but Ponderosa Café on the Horseshoe Pass (A542) is an obvious shout. http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/

Another nod to DINKYS. Lay-by at Ford not long before hanging right across the B4393 for Llanymynech that takes you past Loton Park.
An alternative further south is Cafe Express at Crossgates.(North of Llandrindod Wells) Not so much a fantastic nosh but useful location
