Spanish Pyrenees in a Porsche Boxster

I recently completed a fantastic trip to the Spanish Pyrenees in my new Porsche Boxster. As this was my first proper trip to Europe I planned and prepared for about 6 months.

I did a bit of a write up on another PH section (Porsche)

What road did you use from Bilbao to Brescia? Looks like the autoroutes and N-240 via Pamplona looks fairly uninspiring.

hi Jack

N240 from pamplona east is a lovely road, more so for the stunning scenery and lack of traffic than the twisties though.
If you drive it make sure you follow the old road around the northern side of the lake, not the new bit.

I took mainly motorway from Bilbao to Pamplona. It was pouring with rain and I wanted a relaxing start. Then onto the N240 to Sabibanigo then northwards to Biescas on N260a. The twisties start from Biescas eastwards.

Around the 19th of June and taking my wife. Being the "smug" retired, we'll probably make it up on the hoof after doing the Pyrenees. Gorge du Verdon, Route de Napoleon, Col de la Bonnette; just see how it goes.
