harrogate to Birchwood, Warrington
Discussion
Having done Harrogate to Welwyn Garden City for 3 years, i have a new office in Birchwood, 110 miles nearer home.
I have done the M62 via Leeds route a few times and the time of day certainly makes a huge difference on total travel time.
The satnav seems to indicate the Leeds/M62 route as the fastest, but does anyone have any experience of alternative routes.
Thanks

To be honest, and I hate to say it, for ease of life you're probably better off heading out to Wetherby and going A1/M1, M62. Going through Leeds or cross country to Preston all the time will probably end your will to live.
Maybe come back Tickled Trout route once or twice a week to alleviate the M62 monotony.

Sorry OP no wonder the roads are fooked with people making commutes like that.
M62 West is rammed solid and stationery from J22 to worsley interchange for M62 virtually every day without fail (ohh and 3 years roadworks have just started with 50mph limit to convert to managed motorways) to as is the M6 south from around J27 to jnc 23 or 21 whichever your destination is.
I would consider, moving, new job, suicide.
The train at £40 a day and just over 2hours each way a possibility? ?
