Supercar friendly roads south or west of london

All Ideas wanted ! Although I do like going out from Putney.

My current favourite roads as an idea;

Going north I like the m40 turn off for beaconsfield then A roads towards Amersham and wendover on a413 and continuing out towards Hardwick and swanbourne

South down he A3 and turn off at Milford and take A283 south chiddingfold and petworth and also A286 towards Goodwood.


It's hard to find a good road in the south !

A272, at any point is a great road. Down the A3 you could then do the whole length of it to the A23.

If you head from Goodwood towards Petersfield, via South Harting. Thats another great bit of road. Plus it brings you out near Lanzante of McLaren fame.

The Meon Valley area of Hampshire has a lot of good driving roads, as well as around Alton and Basingstoke.

I'd also recommend heading to Newlands Corner in the Surrey Hills, theres plenty of good driving within a reasonable drive of London.

If you leave early enough on a Sunday, you can be in Dartmoor in 2-3 hours. Some fantastic twisties around there. Go slow in the horsey zones.

Not 2-3 without collecting speeding tickets ,more like 3-4.

Thanks Ted been around Alton and that side which are quite good although busy !

Roads around Alton are good? God I think they're absolutely dreadful. Maybe I should stop complaining...

Heading west on the M4 to Newbury the B4000 and roads around there are excellent. A little further south the military roads across the Salisbury Plains are also good fun.
