M23 50mph is there speed cameras

Ok it's my fault I know it's 50mph on the stretch of the m23 all the way to Gatwick. However following the flow of traffic no one does 50mph everyone was pretty much doing 70+.

I got to the end and the van in front literally slowed down 40mph so I sped up overtook and didn't see the tall yellow pole with 2 cameras on the top. There's no signs to say average speed check etc and I know it's does clearly start 50.

Can anyone please confirm if there's cameras on this stretch.

Average speed check camera's which aren't active yet.

Works were supposed to start yesterday, but driving down on that part of the M23 yesterday signs are still out next to the cameras saying they're not in use.

They will be active once the works start, which was supposed to be yesterday.
