Lancashire to the Lakes.

Have been invited to a friends shed up in the lakes, "Millom" to be exact. Never been up this way before and would like to make it a memorable one.

I currently live in Barrowford, Lancashire and have been told it would be about a 2 hour drive. Thinking of heading up the dreaded M6 to J35 then hitting the A roads.

Possible route would be:

1) A6 to Levens
2) A590 to A5092 onto A595
3) Then onto A5093.

Anybody any recommendations?
