London to Solihull

Can anyone suggest a nice route to take from North London to Solihull without going up the very boring routes of the M1 and/or M40???

Done this trip many times and I promised to myself I'll stay off those bloody m'ways!!

Going tomorrow btw.

Any help would be great...Thanx...T.

Leamington Spa
Southam
Daventry
A5 > MK> Dunstable

If you have LOADS of time, there is always A41, all the way from London to Bicester, a little mixed but some great bits past Aylesbury. When you get to roundabout past Bicester turn right(past the entrance to the shopping village), and left down the b30..... something or other .... takes you all the way to the A44, through Stow, Moreton in the Marsh etc and up.

Will take you ages, but a great drive !!

You know what?? That's really strange cos i've only just seen this reply and last weekend I came across Stow, Moreton in the Marsh, Burford etc etc all around Stratford to Banbury....Some gorgeous roads, sun was out, pretty girl with me........And I was in the bloody MERC!!!!!

My horse will be let lose around there very soon indeed
