The roads are falling apart again

anyone else noticed? Been getting worse for few months really, but lately is bloody horrendous in some places.
I do report potholes but problem is s many areas are now like battle-scarred warfields, there’s no actual neat ‘pothole’ you can report. A couple of areas I did report like that (like driving down an old cart track) have been ignored. And the pathetic bit of tarmac they chuck down when they do attend one, is quite frankly, a joke.

Again? They were never fixed. Even on newly-resurfaced roads the lazy bds leave the manhole covers at their original height, so you've effectively got a three inch deep pothole on a brand new road.
Yeah I agree; the level of ‘workmanship’ and taking pride in doing a good job is woeful these days ds leave the manhole covers at their original height, so you've effectively got a three inch deep pothole on a brand new road. 
Yep buggered around me as well, especially the moorland b roads as they are seeing more and more traffic and just crumbling, the road sections they do choose to resurface appear to be randomly chosen by sticking a pin on a map whilst blindfolded, they will do a section of a lightly trafficked residential street but leave the main road to fall into disrepair.
They can always find money for new traffic lights and speed bumps though...

Thing is, fixing potholes must be one of the most basic, easy to learn things to do. I’m mean even the kids at school that barely passed woodwork could do it, so how are they so bad even when they do patch them? There’s no excuse and I don’t even think lack of money is an honest excuse - I really don’t think it would be that expensive to go around as a full time job filling potholes properly.

I’m not sure it’s a pride issue, but the LA’s wanting to pay as little as possible and like most clients stretching the payment terms out as long as possible. Which is ironic given the money that central government waste on national infrastructure.Sone of the roads my way are an absolute shambles.

That’s what happens in winter. No it’s not great, but happens every year.
