I'm trying to identity good driving roads and so to do these I would like to see a map view that shows all the speed limits of the various roads

I can't seem to find a single app or website that does this? They all just show the current speed limit on the road you are on

Any pointers appreciated, this must exist surely

Could just ask people what roads are good in the area you want to travel. I bet on here there is probably someone from every region who could tell you where is good to drive and where isn't.

There is the odd duff section but generally very good IME

An entire "Roads" subsection could be of use...

Googlemaps is quite accurate, road signs are even more accurate. Just need to keep your eyes open

I'm not, it would be a pretty pointless app

Loads of the best NSLs in Derbyshire have been downgraded to 50 and 40, the limit has nothing to do with how good they are to drive (assuming you disregard the limit when driving them)

Well 60 roads (as opposed to 70) tend to be decent country B roads, that's what I'm looking for.

As said, most of the faster B roads will be 50. The small, narrow country lanes (outside of villages) will be NSL, but almost impossible to drive at that speed.
What you need perhaps, is the Ordnance Survey app with annual unlimited access. Then study the areas you want to visit. Topography, low housing density and bends will indicate decent roads. A bit of knowledge on map-reading will help the most.

There definitely used to be a website, but I can't find it currently.

The only 70s are dual carriage ways confused

There are many great A roads and some great B roads most of which are covered by Best Biking Roads or Biking Apps like Calimoto

If I want to check if an A road is dual carriage way or not, I take a look with street view

Strange thread.

FWIW I tend to find that A roads with three digits are often a good indicator. Combine that with population density and it's a decent indicator for a good road.
