I'm looking for a few suggestions on European road trips.
Rotterdam to Rotterdam over 14 nights in June. Mainly light camping, don't take a stove etc.

Already done the following, so after a few new ideas.

1- ww1 sites Belgium/ Metz/ Reims.
2- Romantic Road/ black forest road in Germany.
3- swiss alps
4- rhine/ Trier/ Colmar / Mulhouse.
5- Loire area.

Did ponder Denmark ?

Thanks in advance

That’s a Trek from Rotterdam.

But I agree. I would look in Como and return via Route Napoleon.

If you go to como, take in the vosges mountains too. Had a great blast in my evo, and scenic too.

Around como there a some nice roads but be wary of polished tarmac where trucks turn on hairpins, it can be like ice.

And seek out the old mountain pass roads, so many have been bypassed by tunnels they are hard to casually find, but some that haven't fallen into disrepair are fun.

Go out from Southampton/Portsmouth and take the overnight boat to Santander. Then meander through the Pyrennes, the South of France, the Alps and the 'Ring before coming back from Rotterdam (or Zb)

Thanks all.
I already have a brittany ferries portsmouth to caen ticket which I can amend but no refund, along with £370 po ferries credit.

New plans looking at the suggestions

Drive to portsmouth Thurs pm...4hours.

Over night portsmouth to Caen
Route Napoleon (bypass Paris)
Lake Como via cannes, nice
Trier
Rotterdam

Google suggests about 1600 miles 24hours driving.

Leave on a Thursday night Portsmouth to arrive Caen Friday morning.Returning overnight on the 16th night from Rotterdam.
