Peak District Roads
Discussion
I'm new on here so can't post a link, but does anyone know where the road (or roads) that are featured in the YouTube video by Supercar Driver with the video title 'Yep, we bought a GR Yaris!'
Not only is it a stunning video watch, but I live on Manchester side of the Peak District, and would love to know where these roads are as I'm not familiar with them. If anyone else can link to the video then much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Monkeywrench,
Just watched the video, the road in question is called “the Strines” by the locals, named after the Strines inn towards the Sheffield end. Its actual name is Mortimer road. From Manchester you could drive the snake pass via Glossop. Follow the snake pass past the ladybower reservoir, straight on through the traffic lights , drive for about two miles and the Strines is signposted as a left turning. It’s not particular good for wide sports/supercars but superb in something small and light.
The Strines is one road, the other end passes a pub called the Mustard pot. Turn left at the t junction at the end of the strines road, up to the roundabout at the top turn left and you are then on the Woodhead pass back through Tintwhistle and back towards Manc. Definitely worth driving that rout if you’ve not done it before.
