Any experiences of this good or bad?

Stumbled across it last night on Tom Tom whilst plotting my early June Euro trip in the GT4. Has now been added to my route as it looks incredible.

Was heading to Lienz via Bolzano after leaving Livigno, so would be rude not to add this route in before heading up to Austria.

The Great Dolomites Road is definitely worth adding to the trip. The scenery is incredible, especially around the mountain passes and smaller villages along the route. Early June should also be a good time with lighter traffic and pleasant weather. In a GT4, that mix of smooth roads and views should make the drive very memorable.

Add in the Sella Ronda (Passo Val Gardena & Covara) and you have an awsome route.

If you have time add Tre Cime de Lavaredo just past Cortina

Great shout, should be able to fit both of these in as only travelling Vigo di Fassa > Lienz on that day.

Try and do the dolomites on weekdays as from June-September they are very busy on the weekend and driving becomes processional. Much more so than the French-Swiss-Austrian alps.
