Resurfacing the wrong way - Dorset Way, Poole
Discussion
This just sums up the cheapness of uk road repair. Resurface a busy dual carriage way with loose stone chippings, normally a 50mph road and of course very few would do the 20mph temporary limit so you get this:

I always dread coming across a road that has been freshly surface dressed because of the damage it can do to paintwork. Even if you take the precaution of travelling at the recommended limit, others will overtake, who obviously are oblivious to the damage that looses stones can cause to their own car let alone others. Others will be coming at speed the other way. The windscreen on my wife’s car had to be replaced because of this.
It must be a nightmare on driving on dualled sections when they’re like this. Dust is the least of your worries, but I can imagine cleaning that off won’t be fun.
Surface dressing needs to be banned, for main high speed roads at least.
