Just wondering if anyone here knows of a good route to take through the Cotswolds - stopping at a nice country pub for lunch? Suitable for TVRs?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

the road from burford to bibury and on to cirencester is one of the best in the area - plenty of boozers around too.

Wide and open for a lot so potential for massive speed and smoothness, easy overtakes and has a few really nice twisty sections in the middle.

A361 Burford to Chipping Norton is also a belter and for a more twisty tight option the B road from the A361 just north of Burford to Charlbury and on to the A44 is superb and very lightly trafficked

Should be a few TVRs outside The Puesdown Inn (GL54 4DN) on the A40 near Compton Abdale Thursday lunchtime.

Absolutely agree - splendid road and a real pleasure when the traffic is on the light side. And then you can turn around and do it the other way

Thirded - don't know what it's like now, but in the pre-scameraship days this road was easily capable of giving triple figure speeds.

B4425 for those that wish to know

Great way of avoiding the M4 from jc18 - A46-A433 (Cirencester)-B4425 to A40/M40. Only takes 30 minutes more then M4/A404 to from Bristol to High Wycombe.

If you don't mind deviating a little, the B4213/A417 from Tewkesbury to Ledbury is a great razz. Then from Ledbury, take the A449 towards Ross, through Much Marcle. Much twistage, much fun.
