Had to drive to Spalding from Cheshire, sorry if you live in Spalding but what an awful place.
Anyway, went via A50 and A6006 to Melton then got on B676, what a brilliant bit of road, wonderful countryside, sensible speed limits in hamlets that didn't extend too far outside built area, changes into A151 at the A1, onto Bourne still very good, plenty of bends, cambers, long straights, the last bit to Spalding is the usual fenland road, straight little kinks as it jinks across a drainage ditch all in all, with hardly any traffic and bright sunshine, a nice five hour drive there and back spoilt by the first and last sections on the M6.
