Alpine Pass opening times
Discussion
Hi all
Planning a trip to the Italian lakes next year, and hoping to take in some alpine passes at the same time.
I've been looking on some excellent websites:
www.alpineroads.com/passstatus.php
http://66.249.93.104/translate_c?hl=ehttp://www.tourenland.de/paesse/splue">www.tourenland.de/paesse/spluegen.">www.tourenland.de/paesse/spluegen.">http://www.tourenland.de/paesse/splue">www.tourenland.de/paesse/spluegen.
but wondered if anyone had much practical experience of how reliable the opening times are? Looking to go in May, so a bit worried that eg Stelvio, Splugenpass will be closed.
I guess it depends on the weather :-)
I guess need to ask some locals really!
